Solar PV Installer is a comprehensive industry-aligned program designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to install and maintain solar PV systems. The course curriculum, compliant to NSQF and industry requirements covers a range of topics including Basic of Solar Energy and Electrical Concepts, Site Survey for Solar PV Installation, Introduction Solar PV Installer, Installation, testing and commissioning of Electrical Components of Solar PV Systems. Participants learn how to assess site suitability, design and install solar PV systems, and test and commission them to ensure they are operating at maximum efficiency. They get hands-on experience on solar PV equipment and software tools used in modern solar PV installation processes. The course also covers safety protocols and regulations related to solar PV installation in the workplace. Upon completion of the course, participants get equipped with the necessary skills to design, install, and maintain solar PV systems in various industries.

Solar energy technologies harness the energy of solar irradiance to produce electricity. Currently, there are principally two technologies employed: photovoltaics (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP) technologies. PV generates electricity using the conducting properties of certain chemicals most importantly silicon, through the photo-electric effect. CSP makes use of reflectors to focus sunlight on a small area, in order to generate steam that powers a thermal electric plant.
